cheap and effective,

"I had water slowly leaking from my bathroom toilet overflow for months due to a slight leak from the end of the inlet valve , adjusting the plunger on the end of the float arm had no effect. Eventually I had to do something about it as it was really annoying me , but I didn't want to pay through the nose for a plumber. Read in a DIY book that it was probably the diaphram washer so I bought a few as they were so cheap ( as spares) and easily fitted one myself by simply unscrewing the retaining nut on the end of the inlet valve (after turning off the water) and replacing the worn one. Works great now and no slow leak."
