Pros: sets quicker than ordinary ballast cement
"No messing with ballast and cement and all the mixing, just do what it says on the pack and wallop, Job done, you have a very stable fence post in a short time, wouldn't use anything else now."

"I've always mixed up my own blend of postmix, propped the posts until hard etc hoping they'd stay upright...
This stuff is excellent, goes off in minutes and makes the job far easier/quicker.

"Absolutely brilliant product. Very little mess. Sets in minutes, and is as hard as concrete once cured. Makes setting posts a much easier job. It is also a relatively cheap way to set posts. Approximately one bag per post. Just fill the hole about one third full with water, add the postcrete and make sure it is fully around the post, and the post is vertical. In minutes it is set hard enough to hold the post. Brilliant stuff."

Pros: quick and easy to use and does the job
Cons: none if used correctly
"Does exactly as advertised. If you read the simple instruction and use as it says you will get the result you paid for. I have used many times previously on my own fence posts and those of friends and relatives. If the hole is kept reasonably within the advised size (8 inches diameter) then one bag will adequately do the job perfectly within 10 to 15 minutes maximum. If you oversize the hole you will probably need more. Simple as that!"

"Very easy to use.
Simply pour water and put in postcrete. Keep mixing it by using some timber and after approx 8 mins or so it will set solid like a rock. Make sure the concrete posts are straight/level, otherwise once concrete sets then its too late to move them.

Pros: no mixing
Cons: none
"Great stuff, no mixing or shovelling. Water in the hole, pour it in, a little more water and tamp it down. The post stays upright virtually unaided and stays there. Can't say much more really, will definitely use it again."

Pros: makes the job quick and easy, no mess & no waste
Cons: more expensive than mixing by hand
"As a professional I use this product on an almost daily basis. It is very expensive compared to hand mixed concrete but its fast, clean and easy to use making it invaluable. Try not to use it in freezing weather and remember that if your fence is higher than three foot your post should always go a full two foot into the ground, stop your concrete 6 inches from the top of the hole. You should allow for one - one and a half bags per post."

"Problem with this post mix is that they suggest you pour water into a hole and then postmix on top until you stop seeing water - but this does not achieve a good consistency because it is such a rough calculation. They offer measurements for a hole, but try digging a post hole to order. Be far better if they gave you the mix ratio which you make up in a bucket and then pour in the hole. As it stood I had to reinforce all my post holes with pre-mixed concrete."

"I haven't used postcrete before but have done fencing. This made the job so easy. The instructions are simple, and accurate, the 6 foot posts were stable a short time. The data sheet accurately predicts the number of bags you need, and I realised it had some calculations of quite narrow post holes. It's difficult to dig narrow holes deep enough so I was glad I used the predictions for bigger holes. I used all the bags."

Pros: sets quickly
Cons: none
"This cement was easy to use, dig hole, fill with water, add bag and it sets quickly. I did have to use more than one bag but I may have put in too much water so maybe start with less water and top up as necessary"
