Pros: good u value with little thickness
Cons: relatively pricier than mineral wool
"Currently renovating a 120 year old house in the Highlands. Old stone walls are lined and insulated (mostly with (Wickes) 50mm batts,. The foil roll is ideal for those walls where there isn't enough space for 50mm extra depth and for the window reveals. Easily laid and stapled onto the studwork before boarding."

"It seems a little expensive for what you get but its the easiest type of insulation to instal for projects where you are not looking for very good heat retaining properties. I used it in a garage stapled to the rafters just to prevent the warm air that builds in the garage from condensing on the cold metal roof."

Pros: light weight and easy to handle
Cons: tricky to keep straight
"I'd been meaning to insulate our loft some more for a while and saw this on the web site - looked much easier than dealing with the usual thick, itchy insulators. In this respect it is much easier but it does require more effort to install but for an non-DIY person like me it wasn't difficult though it would be much easier with 2 of you to get the roll straight across the loft space in the first place!
Will be back on line to order some more when it is in stock."

Pros: price
"We used this to go behind some radiators that sit on an outside wall - Easy enough to cut and put in place. There is a noticable difference with this. Works a treat"

Pros: fantastic value for money
"We're currently insulating our extension so researched the market for this type of easy to fit insulation as a topper to thermal fleece. All the leading DIY stores sell a branded version of this product (which is exactly the same, I've tried it) but at 3 times the price ! No wonder my local store keeps running out, so a simple online order with free delivery was a fantastic find for me!"

Can affect TV reception,

"Great product for keeping loft insulated and clean, but if you have an internal loft TV aerial, take care not to put over that part of the roof the aerial is pointing towards. It reallly messes with Freeview TV signal."

Best value foil insulation,

Pros: price, foil thickness is good
"This is the cheapest foil insulation available, compared to competitor products. I've completed laying this in the rafters and have noticed / am content my roof is better insulated compared to before. Job done."
