Pros: fast delivery
Cons: delivery driver didn't ring and just turned up.

"Excellent value for money, and incredibly easy to hang. Recommends that this is a two man job, but did this myself in an afternoon.
Looks clean and fits in well with existing PVCu windows and doors. You would not know this was aluminium.
Just ordering another one now for another project.
Incredibly fast and well priced delivery too.

METAL DOOR, 22 October 2009

"Excellent delivery service arrived on time and put where requested. Used to replace wooden back door. However my frame was neither square or level and as the metal frame was bendy and not rigid I found it hard to straighten and fix into position. When fitted it looked good. I did notice though that when it is very cold the door being metal stayed cold to the touch causing some condensationon the inside. Would be great on garage or porch but would prefer UPVC next time."

Usefull Door Kit, 21 October 2009

Pros: good tight fit no draught.
Cons: need to measure carefully.

"I needed a utility door that would be maintenance free, not too expensive and the right size.
The Tyne Aluminum Door meets these requirements. I removed the old, rotten timber frame, had two side pieces cut to size, which I sealed with bitumen before fixing to the brick. Then I just fixed the Al. frame at each side, which is enough. A good solid job.

Replacing my garage door, 21 October 2009
By DangerGeoff from Cotswolds

Value for money: 5 out of 5 5 out of 5

Pros: door looks great

"My only problem was reducing the existing opening to accomodate the new door.
Having done this,I found the instructions and product quite easy to follow and fix, although the drip bar was a fiddle to fix when the door was in place, may be easier to fix before fitting the door.

A smart door at a reasonable price, 21 August 2009

Pros: reasonably priced modern door, straightforward to fit
Cons: you need a little patience to get it square in the

"This is the second one of these doors I have purchased and I must say I am pleased with them. They are relatively straightforward to fit and if you are replacing an existing door they will generally fit straight into the frame with a little bit of adjustment. Mine took about 2 - 3 hours to fit and a significant part of that was trying to unscrew the hinges on the old door. Mine sit inside a porch so I can't comment on how weathertight they are but they are smart and much less bulky than UPVC and are low maintenance."

Beware of the frame, 15 December 2008
By PhilDTankup
Good Quality: 2 out of 5 2 out of 5
Value for money: 3 out of 5 3 out of 5

Pros: good quality door
Cons: basic design fault with the hard wood frame

"Whilst the door itself seems to be good value the hardwood frame is totally unsuitable as it has a moulding on both edges so you cannot insert the aluminium sub frame and expect it to expand to fill the rebate. How anyone has managed to use this product is quite beyond me and I have taken a second opinion from an independant double glazing company and a carpenter. It would have helped if the hard wood frame was the same size as quoted on the packaging but even then one of the mouldings would still have to be planed off to make it usuable."
