Wickes Stable Door, 30 June 2008

Pros: pre-glazed to save time

"This door is excellent design and is made of very heavy hardwood, so I'm expecting it to last for years.
The joint between the 2 parts of the door is pre-cut with the appropriate profile. I used a Wickes hardwood frame and the door fit perfectly witout triming on the width and I only had to cut the bottom to fit the rainbar.
The advantage over other stable doors I saw on the market is that this is pre-glazed, so it's a big time saving.
Only a small amount of finishing was needed before woodstaining. I just put a little filler over the pins that hold in the glazing bead and gave the door a light sand."
