"I ordered and used this to fit a bi-fold door. Waste of time and money. I would have been better ordering a plank or two of planed 106mmx 28mm and making frame locally. Small trim supplied with this cannot be fitted with bi-fold doors and the door lining is dual purpose for different widths and is a therefore compromised and not well machined.
Consider not fit for purpose for this application

Pros: easy to fit, straight
Cons: too knotty, why werent the dimensions correct at the top!!!
"Bought this at te same time as a prefinished door which should have fitted exactly - it didnt. The lining went up easy, it was well planed, quite straight but a bit knotty. I'm sure a tradesman would be more savvy but i just expected the door to fit. I got it straight and it was just too tight at the top... that's not my fault is it????
It was a shame that in the end I had to fettle the prefinished door rather than the liner."

Pros: price flexibility of size
Cons: soft(ish) wood
"Purchased this frame for a new extension build. It is by far the cheapest frame I found and is good in so much as it has a reversible top, allowing frame to be built to 2 different sizes. The wood is a little soft but OK.
Just about to purchase another one! :)"

"They don't come any cheaper than this and I wanted to save some money so bought these to do a 3 bed extension. Something seems to be wrong with the kiln drying process such that as soon as they're out of the wrapping you will start to see warping, twist & shake, even after fitting. My view is that the extra time you will spend sorting this out exceeds the extra £20ish to buy a decent frame.
Product maybe acceptable if you don't mind having extra wide gaps around your doors to allow for the innevitable warpage, but one to avoid if you want a tidy job.

"Will never buy Wickes door frame again. All three main components were so warped, they were unusable."
