Pros: very cheap and chearful
"Bought 2 of these to use as driveway gates and found them easy enough to put together. The quality of the wood is good i would not say excellent but they were a quarter of the price of other wooden gates of the same size i had been looking at . I would add that the gates do need 2-3 coats of a good quality varnish or paint to stop them from warping at the first sight of rain."

Pros: good value for money Cons: instructions are not very well set out
"The gate is very good value. I did not realise it was going to be flat packed and it was a bit fiddly to put together. I nearly threw the instructions away as they are attached to the picture of the gate on the box. I think that the instructions could have been a little clearer. If the diagram had been set out step by step then it would have been easier to follow. Overall the gate looks good once it has been stained and is sturdier than expected. The delivery was fantastic. It was less than 24 hours from placing my order that my goods were delivered."

instruction error,
15 July 2008
By suggsfrom London
"Very pleased with my purchase, I bought 4 of these and made folding driveway gates out of them. There was a problem with the instructions supplied however so be very careful when you cut the width of the cross bars as you will end up short if you use measurements supplied. I realised this error before assembly, otherwise I would have been pretty cross myself."

Solid product at a sensible price,

Pros: versatile sizing, sturdy, good value Cons: fiddly construction
"I bought two of these gates for a garden project. The assembly is a little fiddly - not helped by an error in the instructions that caused me to cut one of the cross bars too short. Painting all the different parts before assembly is a pain too. However the finished gate is sturdy, looks good and the method of contruction means that it is very adaptable and can easily be sized depending on your needs. The price, given the cost of timber these days is excellent!"

Great gate!,
31 March 2008
By DIYgusfrom Derbyshire
Pros: attractive, good price, sturdy once built
"This gate goes together well, and as long as your and OK DIY'er doesn't take too long. It is also attractive and sturdy enough once built. A water proof glue will help it's longevity. Make sure when you buy it that you check the edges of the wood are nice and neat. Mine had a little split but not too serious. Once stained looked great and I'm off to buy another this month."
