Great Gates, 21 August 2008

Good Quality: 5 out of 5 5 out of 5
Value for money: 5 out of 5 5 out of 5

Pros: quick and easy to fit
Cons: nails could have been longer

"the gates are very easy to put together and look great once fitted, good value for money and easily installed in any opening upto 4". The only reason I would give 5 out of 5 is that the nails supplied should have been slighty longer. I will be buying 4 more to use as driveway gates."

Cheap, Easy and Looks Great, 12 August 2008
By DIYdefo from Chichester

Pros: simple & easy, look great, fun to build
Cons: does take time to get it right

"Fantastic gate, i bought 2 of these and used them toghther to create a great set of gates at the entrance of the drive. Far far cheaper than buying ones already made. Simple to put together but you will need lots of external wood glue and a bit of time to get them right."

'The Nails', 22 July 2008
By Vasserman from Maidstone

Pros: sturdy frame
Cons: nails will not hold slats in position

"The frame of the gate was easy to assemble and found to be sturdy and robust. The problem came when fixing the Slats with the provided nails. The 'nails' are really large panel pins and with a protective coating that has no grip into the wood, found that as fast as next slat was nailed the previous would 'bounce' out of its position. Had to return to Wickes to buy grip nails."
