Pros: easy to lay in position, easy to handle without special equipment
Cons: plastic cover dificult to cut
"Researched this product throughly before purchasing it. It was the best value for money and so easy to use. I thought there might be a problem with getting it through the loft hatch but in its compressed state it slid through easily. Once unwrapped it expanded into a fluffy blanket that was easy to position. I am so impressed that I've ordered more to top up the insulation in my house extension and my neighbours house."

Pros: great value
Cons: none
"This really was an easy product to fit (plus a great offer @ buy 1-get-1 free). I had no problems cutting it, basically using a pair of scissors (when the Wife wasn't looking!). As a precaution I used a mask & gloves and within a short time the job was done. Well done Wickes!"

"Bought these whilst on a Buy One Get One Free Deal. The price was great, quick delivery (and friendly and helpful too), but quality of the rolls themselves is only average. 3 of them were split open when i check them after delivery, which meant that had unrolled and were a nightmare hauling them into the loft, and also meant that the insulation was exposed...so I might as well have bought cheaper insulation without the very thin "Easy Lay" plastic covering."

Pros: easy to do yourself, simple and effective way to increase insulation
"Easy Lay is just what it says on the packet. It was simple to roll out on top of old insulation and easy to cut to size. There was no mess and no irritation and no need to dress up like a storm trooper. Job was completed in about an hour. Excellent value for money, well worth it."

Pros: good value
Cons: not really suitable to lay between joists
"i had been looking for a value offer for a while on insulation, then came across this offer from wickes, buy one get one free.Brilliant. The insulation is very good, only problem was that i needed to put it between joists and it is not pre-cut.However, this was not too much problem to slice into three sections using a saw.One drawback was the plastic covering came off and was discarded.Totally suitable to lay as one piece in your loft though."

Pros: job done in half the time, no dangerous fibres
Cons: bit bulky/heavy if you are singlehanded
"Loft insulation is a vital concern for all home owners nowadays with fuel costs so high. This product is clean, fast and easy to lay. Ideal for the DIY market, who cannot afford to pay someone else to do it for them."

Pros: fast free delivery, easy to install
Cons: minor tearing of the protective covering
"Delivered next day as promised, by a friendly and efficient driver. Some minor tearing of the protective covering to the insulation but nothing that would really affect it once installed. Lives up to product description - easy to install."

Pros: wide rolls much quicker to lay
"Having ordered the 2 for 1 deal I wasn't sure about the quality but it was very good and exceptional value for money. The extra wide rolls made it much easier to lay than the traditional foot wide rolls. For an inexperienced non DIY-er it took under 2 hours to insultate my entire loft - and it was fiddly space but the large blanket type rolls meant it was easy to handle. Also none of the prickly dust you get from standard glass wool."

Pros: very easy to roll out
Cons: needs cutting for between trusses
"Overall this loft insulation is very easy to use (even for a 8.5 stone female!), especially where you have a straight run - would be ultra easy in a traditional cut roof, sadly mine is the trussed rafter variety so thats a bit trickier and involves more cutting (dust mask required)."

"We've been struggling to find an economical insulation top up to go over our 4" loosefill, but this product (which is designed to lay across the joists) goes a long way and is great to work with. It's an absolute bargain on buy one get one free and was delivered by Tuesday after we ordered on line on Sunday. Couldn't ask for better value or service - thank you Wickes!!!"
