Pros: very easy to cut, easy to fit
"Used this stuff to insulate the pitched roof above my garage. As the space between the beams were all a slightly different width I was initially worried that I would have problems cutting and fitting. However, this stuff is incredibly easy to cut (with a long bread knife) and squeeze-fit into place and it only took me a couple of hours to complete the job. I highly recommend that you use this insulation merely because anyone with very limited DIY ability could easily work with it."

"No, I didn't buy this stuff to insulate my loft, which is already insulated. I'm a professional musician and I have a little recording studio in our spare room. We've recently moved to this place, and the room is a lot more reflective (of sound, I mean) than I'd like. The commercially available acoustic absorption panels are pretty expensive, and I didn't want to budget for another £200-300, but I realised I could make them myself. This stuff from Wickes is perfect for the filling, and I also was able to get the right wood for the frames."

"I'm very happy with this insulation. It was straightforward to use, easily cut to size, and the slabs could be carried and manoeuvred in the loft space with no problem. I have used it between the rafters and am noticing the difference already."

"The insulation is of good quality and accurate sizing.
It is easy to cut with a stanley knife and because it is very light easy to position.
It is quite fragile and once out of the packaging it is easy to damage (e.g. by stepping or sitting on it!)
Good noise insulation."

Pros: very easy to cut, minimal irritation from fibres
"comes well packaged, doesn't "spring" much on opening... sheets are absolute doddle to cut with a saw and almost no irritation from the fibres. with 600mm centred studs, these are a perfect size to hold themselves up"

"I ordered online. Delivered for free on the day as advertised. These slotted straight in, snug as can be, held in place just fine. Didn't take long to fit and material is not as much of an irritant as conventional fibre roll. Highly recommended product."
