Wickes Door Frame Kit, 30 June 2008

Pros: includes draft excluder, close fitting true joints

"This door kit is really easy to use and produces a frame that can be given a premium finish.
All the machined joints are true and close fitting - so close on my example that all the angle naturally came out at exact right angles. The wood grain was fine and the frame need only a light sand a final preparation for woodstaining.
I bought a Wickes stable door for the frame. Together as a pair, no trimming was needed to get the 2 to fit together exactly, except for the rain bar obviously.
One really good thing about the frame is that it comes with draft excluder strips for the top and sides. These slot into the frame and provide a really excellent weather seal. They even fit after the frame has been woodstained."
